Attorney Ingrid A. Halstrom was elected to be the next Secretary of the New Lawyer’s Division of the American Association for Justice (AAJ). AAJ is an international organization of civil plaintiff trial lawyers that has over 20,000 members throughout the United States and Canada.
Attorney Halstrom attended the annual Cherry Blossom trip with the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys Board of Governors. This trip provides the opportunity for a delegation of attorneys from Massachusetts to visit the offices of their Senators and Representatives on Capitol Hill to discuss civil justice issues.
Medical errors prevalent and costly, new survey of Massachusetts residents shows – The Boston Globe
A state survey has revealed that 20 percent of Massachusetts residents have recently experienced a medical error, totaling 61,982 errors in a one-year period. The Betsy Lehman Center for Patient Safety estimates that these errors cost $617 million in follow-up care.
